How do we tell if our mail program is adding this junk? One of my web
mail programs has a switch to go to ascii only, but I have no idea what
Outlook is putting out. I know this account is safe as I am connected
via telnet.

[alan sez: It's not always simple. I'm told that AOL 6.0 has no provision for sending plain ASCII mail. (Yet another strike against AOL...) If you guys are unsure, you can send messages for posting to the list to me at alan@folkmusic.org including in the first line of the message BODY the words
Post to folkmusic list
and I can deMIME the postings and send them along from there. It will introduce yet another small delay in the processing of the messages, but it's the best alternative I can come up with on short notice. Thanks!]
