Hey Folks!

The Annual Folk Alliance Conference is taking place in Vancouver for
2001. A bunch of us are taking the train to and from the conference.
Musicians, industry folks, music lovers and anyone with a love of
trains or beautiful geography is invited to join the fun. Visit our
page at http://www.folktrain.com for all the details.

The sleeper space on the FolkTrain *was* sold out Westbound, but VIA
added another sleeper car this week so we have a few additional
spaces. (some were already eaten up by folks on our waiting list.)
Don't delay if you want to book a sleeper though. This space is
filling up rapidly and I don't know that VIA has enough extra
equipment to add another sleeper to our train when this one fills.

I've also updated the page with some new information and links as
well as a link to sign up for information on FolkTrain 2002. We'll
probably be running two Folktrains next year to the Folk Alliance
conference in Jacksonville FL USA, one originating in Boston and
travelling down the east coast and another down the west coast and
thru the southern part of the US.

We have a great group signed up and are looking forward to a fabulous
trip. I'm also excited that there will be a Folktrain showcase in
Vancouver in the Big Orange Tarp/Folkmusic.org showcase room. Times
TBA.

It's not too late to sign up, but it will be soon!

hope you can join us.
Alan
